Painting + Restoration, Ltd. is a full service Painting & Historic Restoration contractor specializing in Victorian, Dutch & Sears "Art's & Crafts" Homes

Painting Plus was founded in Rhinebeck, NY. by James S. McCormick in 1996. In 2000 James Incorporated the business & it was called Painting Plus, Co. Inc.

Since then the company has grown to include Historic Restoration & Preservation Services and is now called Painting + Restoration, Ltd..

James was born & raised in the Red Hook - rhinebeck area & was 22 years old when he started this company.

In 2006 James was the Director of Seasonal Advertising for the Red Hook Area Chamber of Commerce & in 2007 became the Second Vice President.
